About the HBCU Relays Experience
The HBCU Relays Experience is a groundbreaking two-day track & field event sanctioned by USA Track & Field that opens doors for student-athletes to shine. Founded with a mission to overcome barriers faced by underrepresented athletes, HRE provides an inclusive space for talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as well as high schools and other academic institutions, to connect, compete, and develop on and off the track.
This experience brings together talented young athletes, allowing them to showcase their potential without the rigid qualification constraints typical of most elite events. Athletes will gain valuable exposure, improve qualifying scores, and network with coaches and peers—all while celebrating the rich culture of HBCUs and diverse communities.
