The HBCU Relays Experience was founded to tackle the challenges and
barriers many student-athletes face, including those at HBCUs and
other colleges. Limited exposure, financial constraints, and
restrictive qualifying requirements have historically hindered these
talented individuals from showcasing their full potential. To bridge
this gap, the HBCU Relays experience provides an inclusive platform
where athletes can compete, gain visibility, and advance their
athletic careers without unnecessary entry restrictions.
With our full collegiate debut set for April 2026, the two-day event
will be the first-of-its-kind hosted in South Florida, inviting
athletes from HBCUs and academic institutions worldwide to compete
in a range of track and field events. High school athletes will be
given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and connect with
collegiate programs, fostering recruitment and mentorship
opportunities. With a focus on inclusivity and excellence, the HBCU
Relays aims to be a transformative experience for all participants,
celebrating athletic achievement and cultural heritage.
